Trainee - When and where are the next classes

Trainee - How many hours of CEUs does a trainee have to get to renew their card?

   

16 hours of trainee approved classroom hours.

32 hours starting July 2011!

48 hours starting July 2013

 

 

Trainee - Do I have to take classes before I can get a trainee card?

 

   

No. But to renew a trainee card, even after being away from the electrical profession for a number of years, a trainee has to get 16 hours of CEUs to renew.

 

 

Trainee - Can a trainee take Online Internet classes?

 

   

No. Trainees must take designated trainee classes, and they are all classroom taught.

 

 

Trainee - Can a trainee take an exam preparation class?

 

   

Yes it is professionally smart to take an exam preparatory class because most (80%+) trainees fail their first exam,. However, the CEUs will not count towards renewal of their trainee card.

 

 

Trainee – Can I take all 16 hours of CEUs in one weekend at CEU-WA?

 

 

Yes, classes start at 9 am to 5 pm

 

Trainee – What kind of courses are available for trainees at CEU-WA?

 

 

Electrical Theory, Introduction to the RCW, WAC, and NEC

 

Trainee – When are CEU-WA trainee classes given?

 

 

The first full weekend of each month.

Classroom instruction - What material should I bring to class?

 

   

Calculator; orange, yellow, and green highlighters; pen, pencil, and paper; a sack lunch and liquids to drink; texts (UGLYs, NEC, RCW/WAC) if you have them (they can be bought at class).

 

 

Classroom instruction – Can I buy the texts at class?

 

   

Yes. NEC $90, UGLYs $15, RCW/WAC $25 (includes test notes), NEC tabs $15

 

Journeymen – What kind of courses are available for journeymen at CEU-WA?

 

   

CODE Required NEC Update, CODE Required RCW/WAC Review, NEC Review, Administrator Prep

Jobsite Training – What kind of jobsite courses are available from CEU-WA?


   

Basic Electrical Theory, Electrical Theory for HVAC, Advanced Electrical Theory (including 3 phase), NEC Review, NEC Code Update, RCW-WAC Code Update, Major Calculations, classes certified for trainees and certified for journeymen

 

Jobsite Training – Why should we consider jobsite electrician training from CEU-WA?


   

Because the instructors are better and the classes cost less and classes are designed for your specialty. We can teach trainees and
journeymen at the same time and fulfill both their requirements.
Classes can be weekdays or weekends, depending on your needs. We routinely provide all CEU required training for 01, 02, 06, 06A, 07, and 07D businesses. Compare our costs.

 

 

Internet - What classes are avaiable on the internet?

 

   

24 hours of CEUs for Journeymen and Administrators (not available for trainees):

Electrical Theory, NEC Review, NEC Code Update, RCW-WAC Code Update

 

 

Cost - How much does a class cost?

 

   

As low as $25 per class as follows:

$105 per 8 hour CEU classroom course (trainees and journeymen)- $90 if unemployed

Specialty electrician exam prep course: $360 - $270 if unemployed

EL01/02 AD01/02 exam prep: $480 - $360 if unemployed

Jobsite training:

Kitsap County: $450/day for up to 10, $90 each student above ten (8 CEU course)
Olympic Peninsula and King County $600/ day for up to 10, $90 each student above ten
Else where in state: $750/ day for up to 10, $90 each student above ten, (2 day minimum)

Internet courses (journeymen and administrators only): summer of 2011

$60/ class
$40/ class if fully internet participant, no student counseling required
$25/ class if fully internet participant, and all 4 classes taken (24 CEUs) (total $100)

No refunds within 48 hours of class start (We must be notified Wed night for a Sat Class cancellation)

On Bainbridge Island on HWY 305 turn west at the 3 mile marker on Koura Road. Go past the golf course and through the first stop sign, and enter a forest. Turn right (north) at Olympic Terrace, go to end, turn right on Heron, at bottom of hill turn right on Bayview. Go 100 yards, park in turnaround. Site is 2nd from end on left with wooden gate.

 

 

Internet - How long do I have to finish the class?

 

   

One year

 

  Internet - What happens if I do not pass the final exam for an internet class?
   

You are given an email on subjects that need to be reviewed, and after a study period you can retake the test as many times as necessary and pass the class at no additional fee (unlike our competitors).
